The MIM trem block, even being of the thin type, hits the back of the rooting before being completly depress, not really important if you do not dive.Ī bit of the rooting is not covered by the bridge plate in front of the whammy bar receptacle. That also makes the intonation not perfect on the low E string since the saddle can not go further backward. The pickguard is then interfering with the edge of the bridge plate. The bridge assembly is a little bit closer to the neck end.
The bridge screws are not exactly fitting in the JT holes. The treble side of the neck pocket is exceeding a bit the neck (usually flush) The Turser body has a bit wider neck pocket but the screw holes fitted exactly into the MIM neck. The pickguard and all the electronics are from a USA Highway One I had in stock to upgrade the MIM ( and is an exact fit on the MIM body ). The neck and the complete hardware are from the MIM. Since I have 2 black Strats ( Standard MIM 95 and American Strandard 06 ) and I don't really dig this color, I decided to replace the MIM body with a nice Transparent Wine Jay Turser body that was the heaviest one from all the JT in the store. I made my-self a 'Fendurser' and I still have to decide if I will keep it this way. Fit with MIM or USA parts is not perfect and will need some tweeking.
